本书围绕中国学前儿童的情境教学与英语口语交际能力发展，探讨英语教学如何更有效地利用儿童的社会环境，创造有意义的交流机会。书中关注如何将社会互动与情境融入幼儿英语教学，并结合中国学前学习者的需求与经验，采用ADDIE模型开发教学模块，通过问卷、访谈、录像及前后测等方式进行评估。研究发现，将社会互动和有意义的情境融入学前英语教学具有重要价值，但具体应用需结合学习者、教学资源、课程要求和社会环境加以调整。
